Thursday 3rd April

 Beautiful morning.  All 4 ponies were close to the far (E) trough, mostly munching their way through the new hawthorn sprigs.  They all looked fine, inc Hoopy, who was eating well:

and as you can see her digestive system seems to be working just fine.

Both troughs were OK.

Fiona and her work party arrived while I was there.

Dongas bird report for the day:
One great egret on the diminishing Southern Water pond when I arrived, but it didn't stay long (no surprise).

One yellowhammer calling but not singing on a bush between the top path and Morestead Rd as I walked back:

 And a forceful blackcap singing invisibly near the corral.  

Brimstones around, too plus this peacock.

It is spring.
