Fri 24th March

We had a group of 14 volunteers up on the hill all day today, planting wildflower plug plants for butterflies and fencing them out from the ponies. No interest at all from the ponies, despite them knowing full well that we were there! I take this as a good sign that they weren't sufficiently interested in what was going on to stop their important relaxing and grazing duties. Please be aware that they do get a bit freaked out by the traffic on the Morestead Road, so when they are near the top fence or on the main path, remember to keep your distance a bit in case they suddenly run due to a lorry thundering past. In case you want to know which is which, Flam is the lighter coloured pony, Katrin has the darkest coat and Doune (not sure how to spell it!) is the one between. Thanks all!
