Opened the gate and removed the lid from the garlic lick whilst I went off to check on the sheep. Still no sign of the ponies when I returned, nor at the top of the site, or a little way along the lower path. As I was short on time, replaced the lid, closed the gate and headed off.
Note: didn't see the ponies today.
